Variety store - old fashioned dime store

Originally started with Tribolet - 5 cent - $1 in Coldwater. Purchased by Gerald & Gladys Hensley as part of their chain of dimestores. They purchased Elsons 5cent - $1 store in Union City, located in South half of what is now Southern Michigan National Bank & Trust. Then moved 3 times until current location in 2 store fronts in late 1950's.

Long time manager/current owner and "living legend" John Soncrant at 76 years still works store on a daily basis.
